The finals of the Australian open last year started with a super exciting competition between sisters Serena and Venus Williams. This was the ninth time that both sisters were playing against each other in a grand slam final match. Venus Williams also became the oldest women to reach Australian open finals in the Open era. Venus was 36 years old last year. She won against Coco Vandeweghe to reserve her place the Australian Open 2018 Final.

However, In the match Serena Williams won against her sister Venus Williams with a score of 6-4;6-4. With this win Serena became the Number one seed and also made a record by winning 23 tennis grand slams which is one more than Steffi Graf’s 22 grand slams record.

On the other hand, Men were not behind in making a history. The most –loved rivals of the tennis world, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal came together to play the finals of the Australian Open men’s singles match.
